Slipknot has collaborated with the award winning Iowa-based Cedar Ridge Distillery to bring the world an original whiskey rich in Iowa roots, No. Made with homegrown Iowa corn featuring a sweet and spicy flavor and finished with a bold flavor at a higher proof, Slipknot No. 9 Iowa Whiskey Reserve furthers the quality of the No. 9 – maturing an extra year to allow more of the flavor to rock through. The nose offers cinnamon, clove, butter and oak. As it hits the palate, it coats it with this goodness, buttery almost, dripping down the side of the cheeks and warms all throughout. There s a comfort here, cornbread-like, with notes of fried pie, apricot and macaroon. It finishes medium to long with a hint of bananas foster.
