DetailWith poles, skiers like to say “sticks are sticks.” And they aren’t far off. A resort pole needs to be tough enough to whack the snow off your boot soles, feature a basket that’s wide enough for poling in soft snow, and offer a comfortable grip and strap. That’s our Bolt Pole, which although it’s made in Austria from premium 7075 aluminum, is more utilitarian point of pride than fragile tchotchke. The price reflects that. And oh yeah, the graphics are asymmetrical so you can distinguish left from your right and set your straps accordingly. That’s a nice touch.
