Borrowing concepts from Shimano’s top tier 11-speed Dura-Ace hoops, the WH-RS21 clincher wheelset is thoroughly designed in all the right places to supply the amount of aerodynamics, resilience, and light weight, while keeping the price point exceptionally friendly. The shallow 24mm rims can still cut through the wind without catching any side winds, while also shaving the extra material used on deeper profiles to reduce rotational weight. The wide flange hubs with offset rims keeps things stiff, enabling maximum power transfer. This hub design employs an adjustable bearing system with contact sealing for longevity and easier maintenance. The offset rims and double butted spokes work cohesively to provide a reliable wheel system that’s equipped for miles of pedaling the pavement, while the rim wear indicator takes the guess work out of knowing when it’s time for replacement.
